Rapper GloRilla arrested in Georgia for an alleged DUI, failing to do breathalyzer

The Memphis rapper, born Gloria Hallelujah Woods, was arrested in the Atlanta area Tuesday morning and charged with a DUI, consuming alcoholic beverage or possessing open alcoholic container while in a passenger area and failure to obey a traffic control device, Suwanee Police Department confirmed in records shared with USA TODAY Thursday.
An incident report states Woods, 24, was pulled over during a traffic stop after an officer observed her make a U-turn at a red light at the intersection of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Suwanee Walk Avenue.
Once pulled over, the arresting officer claimed the rapper had noticeable "watery and bloodshot eyes" and he could "smell the odor of marijuana" within the vehicle and "the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath."
Police allege Woods admitted to consuming alcohol, but denied to indicate how much, telling the officer "it does not matter" and that "she was good to drive."
Woods agreed a field sobriety evaluation, which she struggled with, but denied to do a breathalyzer test, according to the report.
The Grammy-nominated rapper was then taken into custody by the Gwinnett County Jail and released on bond later that morning, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to USA TODAY Thursday.

The Memphis rapper is due to perform in Georgia Saturday night and join Megan Thee Stallion on tour next month. The duo recently released the single "Wanna Be," which appears on GloRilla's album "Ehhthang Ehhthang."
Since her arrest, the 24-year-old rapper has resumed posting on Instagram and shared on her Story Wednesday that she is back in the studio.
GloRilla rose to fame in 2022 after her song "F.N.F. (Let's Go)" went viral on TikTok, earning her a BET Awards nomination for best collaboration and a best new artist Grammy nomination.
